  春節(jié)英語演講稿 1

Chinese Spring Festival, also called Lunar New Year, has more than 4,000 years of history. Being one of the traditional Chinese festivals, it is the grandest and the most important festival for Chinese people. It is also the time for the whole families to get together, which is similar with Christmas Day to the westerners. Originating during the Shang Dynasty (about 17th - 11th century BC), Spring Festival, which celebrates family reunion, is full of rich and colorful activities, and hopes with theadventof spring and flowers blossoming. People from different regions and different ethnic groups celebrate it in their unique ways.

It comes on the first day of Chinese lunar calendar and lasts for almost half of a month. But in folk custom, this traditional holiday lasts from the 23rd day of the twelfth month to the 15th day of the first month (Lantern Festival) in the lunar calendar. Among these days, the New Year’s Eve and the first day of the New Year is the peak time. The exact days are different in every year according to the lunar calendar.

It is said that the custom of Spring Festival started in when people offered sacrifice to ancestors in the last month of Chinese lunar calendar. At that time, people prepared the sacrifice by doing thorough cleaning, having bathes and so on. Later, people began to worship differentdeitiesas well on that day. It is the time that almost all the farm works were done and people have free time. The sacrificing time changed according to the farming schedule and was not fixed until the Han Dynasty (202BC-220AD). The customs of worshipping deities and ancestors remains even though the ceremonies are not as grand as before. It is also the time that spring is coming, so people held all kinds of ceremonies to welcome it.

Preparing the New Year starts 7 days before the New Year’s Eve. According to Chinese lunar calendar, people start to clean the house on Dec. 24, butcher on Dec. 26th and so on. People have certain things to do on each day. These activities will end Jan. 15th of the lunar calendar.

Every family does a thorough house cleaning and purchases enough food, including fish, meat, roasted nuts and seeds, all kinds of candies and fruits, etc, for the festival period. Also, new clothes must be bought, especially for children. Red scrolls with complementary poetic couplets, one line on each side of the gate, are pasted at every gate. The Chinese character Fu is pasted on the center of the door and paper-cut pictures adorn windows.

The Spring Festival is a start for a new year, so it is regarded as theomenof a year. People have many taboos during this period. Many bad words related to “death”, “broken”, “killing”, “ghost” and “illness” or “sickness” are forbidden during conversations. In some places, there are more specific details. They consider it unlucky if thebarrelof rice is empty, because they think they will have nothing to eat in the next year. Taking medicine is forbidden on this day, otherwise, people will have sick for the whole year and take medicine constantly.

Food during this happy event has its characteristics, which is the representative of Chinese festival food culture. Dumplings and the reunion dinner are indispensable at this time. Cold and hot dishes are all served. Fish is always an important dish then, which expresses people’s hope of having a wealthy year.

In China, different places have their own traditions and activities to celebrate the Spring Festival. Beijing, Guangzhou, Xian and Pingyao are some good places to go if one intends to come during the time period. If one does not want to travel so long, but still want to enjoy the atmosphere of Chinese New Year, the local Chinatown is the best place.

Crack, crack, crack... With the explosion of firecrackers, we ushered in the Year of the Tiger in the bustling Sound of the Spring Festival.

In the Spring Festival, I like two things, one is to pay New Years greetings to relatives and friends, New Years money; Another thing is to set off firecrackers and fireworks.

Grandpas backyard is very big, we can play there to our hearts content. My younger brother and I were holding a lit incense in one hand and a scattered small whip in the other. When we touched the small whip with incense heads, the joy on our faces and hearts could not be described in words. Later, we carried a long hanging whip with a stick, grandpa lit firecrackers, we listened to the sound of firecrackers "crackling", the smile on his face, feeling the happiness of the Spring Festival!

"Wayan, wayan, look!" Little brother took my hand. Grandpa is putting "dragon teng Tiger roar", fireworks in the air burst, sometimes like a big chrysanthemum, sometimes like a childlike innocence, sometimes like a bud.

However, the most beautiful or a called "flash flower" fireworks, fireworks in the sky blooming, those little twinkling stars like hanging in the sky, twinkle, look, that big fireworks like a meteor, pulled out of a long tail. There are times, from the fireworks out of a blossoming exquisite scene, colorful flowers, dotted in the night sky, is very good-looking.

This Spring Festival, really interesting, really make me unforgettable!

  Thank you!

  春節(jié)英語演講稿 3

New Years Day, red lanterns hung up, the golden "fu" posted up, festival drums and gongs beat up! I walk with my mother in the street, suddenly found that the taste of the New Year has gradually thick up, the streets everywhere decorated with lights, people carrying bags shuttle in various shopping malls, to buy New Years goods, new clothes, and childrens favorite fireworks.

I remember my mother told me about the Spring Festival when she was young. During the Spring Festival, every family would not only fry melon seeds and make winter rice candy, but also make rice cakes. Early in the morning pull a load of rice to line up with the hand, as a series of process, do white sticky rice into the rice cake machine, the teacher with a clean technique, teeming with warm, white and tender, thin, soft rice cake out, with a rice cake fell into a ball and customizing all kinds of salty, sweet, stuck, delicious rice cake regiment was created, The cold winter has suddenly become warm.

Now want to eat rice cake, you can go to the supermarket to buy at any time, but has not eaten the taste of my mother at that time, but you can imagine my mothers happy smile at that time.

The Spring Festival let me understand the Spring Festival of all kinds of customs, experience the human world of affection.

  Thank you!

  春節(jié)英語演講稿 4

Dear teachers and fellow students,Everybody is good!

"Firecrackers in New Years Eve, spring breeze into the toso. Find Tong Tong, always put the new peach in the old character ", this poem describes the scene of the Spring Festival. The Spring Festival, commonly known as the Chinese New Year, is the first day of the Lunar New Year, the most solemn traditional Festival of the Chinese nation, since the period of Yu Shun, has been more than 4000 years of history.

Spring Festival day is also the most lively day of the year, everywhere can be seen with fireworks chasing children; Strangers met will also look at each other smile each other a happy New Year; Streets and alleys are decorated with lights, couplets are posted on every door, and even every tree by the river is covered with red lanterns, as if the whole city is integrated into the happy atmosphere of the New Year.

At home, my grandmother and mother are busy in the kitchen preparing the dinner for New Years Eve, while the men are responsible for hanging lanterns on every small tree in the yard. Wait until the dinner time, the whole family sit together, while eating the rich dinner on the table, while telling the fun of the past year, the younger generation will toast to the elders, send each other the most sincere New Year wishes. At the same time out of the window, the sound of smoke exploding bamboo rose and fell, standing on the balcony to see, a colorful spark across the dark night sky, is fleeting, is also continuous. Look far, the whole city is brightly lit, is the lamp world, the lamp ocean; Like fairies scattered flowers, like stars.

Once I often ask adults what is the flavor of the New Year, but now I think the interpretation of the flavor of the New Year is varied, but my favorite is the family reunion together to eat the New Years Eve dinner, streets decorated with lights, people laugh and smile, word of mouth happy New Year.

  Thank you!

the new year holiday should be longer.however, the new year holiday is too short for the working people, according to the regulations of the state, there are only 7 days federal holidays for the working people. several years later, all of us should participate in work, so this problem is closely related to each of us.

firstly, do the words spring festival reminds you of something which happen every year, and it is too crowded and makes people exhaustedi think some of you can get the answer. it is the spring transportation. going home for spring festival is a traditional custom of chinese people, but millions of peoples travels bring a great pressure on traffic, especially in such a short time.

7 days holiday, 4 days on the way. but the resources of the tickets are very limited, so the people who can buy the tickets are well off, others who are not lucky enough to get the ticket quickly should spend the new year in a strange land.

secondly, in fact, short vacation of the spring festival has brought a lot of serious problems. when the official announced the plan of the new year holiday, xinlang, a famous media did a survey on the satisfaction degree of it, more than 70 % of the people are dissatisfied with the plan. most of them wanted more time for relaxed, or they would have less passion for their work in the next year. a netizen called teemo said he always felt angry when every year he said goodbye to his family and came back to work.

so, we can expect, if the new year holiday can be longer for the working people, maybe it will make the reunion of families more convenient and let people celebrate the spring festival with a good mood. also, the problems we mentioned above could be solved. thank you!

Before, I would be willing to celebrate the festival, especially the Spring Festival and the Mid Autumn Festival. However, this years Spring Festival is not the same as in previous years. Before the new year, because of the severe snow disaster in the south, many uncles and aunts did not rest on the Spring Festival and insisted on their jobs. My father didnt go home for the Spring Festival during the Spring Festival. He insisted on the first line of coal mine production, for more coal and overtime work to support the coal in the south. Coal miners made their contributions to the production and life in the south. Although my father could not go home with us for the new year, I was very happy, and I was proud of him. At eight p. m. thirty in the year, my mother and I sat on the couch to watch the Spring Festival. How wonderful the Spring Festival Gala is! Talk about the crosstalk, sing and sing in a moment, and dance in a moment. Its really busy! All of a sudden, mom asked me what I wanted in 20xx. I replied, "in 20xx, my wish is:study hard and make progress every day. I will make a careful and conscientious friend. I will become an excellent young pioneer.

Dear teachers and students:

  Good morning, everyone!

Students, do you like Chinese New Year? Although I feel very tired about celebrating the Spring Festival, I still love celebrating the Spring Festival. Now, let me tell you about my Spring Festival customs!

First of all, on the Laba Festival, my mother always cooks a pot of Laba porridge, which is made of eight kinds of food. It tastes good. After drinking Laba porridge, the Chinese New Year will soon come.

New Years Eve is the busiest time in my family. The whole family will get together to have a reunion dinner. The food cooked by my parents is very delicious, and there are many kinds of dishes, including fried rice cakes, fried wuding, red oil ear shreds, fried double flowers, and stewed three fresh foods. Everyone praised while eating. After dinner, we started to set off fireworks. Many fireworks flew into the sky with a loud noise, and the sky suddenly became colorful.

After the Spring Festival, I learned a lot about folk customs. Although I was tired, I still loved the Spring Festival and my familys Spring Festival.

  Thank you!

Dear teachers and students:

  How do you do!

Spring Festival is a traditional festival of our Chinese nation. Since it is a traditional festival, there will certainly be traditional customs. Setting off firecrackers, wearing new clothes, eating dumplings... Of course, there are still many things that cant be counted.

Of course, there will be several important ones. For example: eating dumplings.

I dont know who set the rule of eating dumplings. However, since I was born. I remember when I was young, my mother put coins of different sizes in the dumplings. There are one piece, fifty cents and even one cent. In fact, its just for luck. It indicates that the coming year will be smooth and profitable.

And setting off firecrackers. I remember my father took me to set off firecrackers when I was young. Although my ears hurt, I was still very happy. The red firecrackers were like red centipedes, and like little girls long braids dyed red. The sound of the clapping thunder made my heart boil.

There are also those who must watch the Spring Festival Gala on New Years Eve. Although it will be a bit boring, we still have to keep the year together. I can fall asleep when the bell rings. This is actually a little happy.

  thank you.
